Your Energy Audit Report Includes
Prioritized Recommendations
We provide a detailed list of recommendations that’s customized for your house. We consider safety concerns and the cost and impact of other improvements along with your primary concerns when compiling the list.
Infrared / Thermal Photographs
Your report will include both digital and infrared images side-by-side to identify the areas of air leakage or poor insulation.
Air Quality and Safety Test Results
We will perform diagnostic testing on any combustion appliance such as a gas water heater or gas furnace in order to determine that they are not leaking carbon monoxide and other combustion byproducts into the home. Poorly functioning appliances like these can contribute to dangerous indoor air quality issues regardless of how air tight a building may be designed.
Air Sealing Recommendations
Sealing air leaks can reduce the amount of conditioned air that is escaping your home. Our report will identify the areas in your home that need air sealing. This can be a do-it-yourself project or one where you’ll benefit from professional assistance due to the complexity of the project.
Utility Bill Analysis
When you submit your last 2 years worth of utility bills (don’t worry, most providers store them electronically for you online), we will analyze them for you. This information is very helpful in determining which improvements will be the most cost effective based on the potential payback.
